St Hild College is a pioneering theological institution for Yorkshire and the surrounding regions. It has been formed by the merger of The Yorkshire Ministry Course and St Barnabas Theological Centre.
Our training combines rigorous academic theology and mission-focused Christian practice in a community of shared learning. We offer undergraduate and postgraduate awards through Durham University.
"The pilgrimage was full of experiences that I was not prepared for and the Bible has taken on a whole new dimension." Full-time ordinand Jill speaks about her time in Jerusalem this summer.
“I’m not in church leadership, but the slant from St Hild is...theology that’s applied to everyday life. I enjoy the fact that on Tuesday mornings I’m putting into practice what I’ve learnt on a Monday afternoon."
“I am confident that what St Hild has to offer in preparation for community ministry takes some beating.” - Meet Sally-Anne: mum of two, operations manager, and one of our part-time ordinands at the Banabas Teaching Centre.
“I don’t suppose anyone really knows what to expect when they go into this. It has been incredibly difficult but it has also been one of the best things that I’ve done.” - Meet Joe Cooper: part-time ordinand at the Mirfield Teaching Centre and full-time civil servant working in environmental health.
