Peter Morden

About Peter

Peter is a Baptist Minister and former Vice Principal (Director of Training) of Spurgeon’s College, London, where he was also Director of the Spurgeon’s Centre for Spirituality. He is now Senior Pastor / Team Leader at South Parade Baptist Church, Leeds and is a member of the Theological Advisory Group of the Evangelical Alliance. His PhD was on the spirituality of the nineteenth-century preacher, C.H. Spurgeon, and he has published widely in the fields of evangelical history and spirituality, with a particular interest in the intersection between spirituality and mission. He is currently working on a volume on discipleship for the ‘Bible Speaks Today’ series published by IVP. Peter is well travelled and has preached and taught in a number of different countries, most recently Korea. He is married to Anne and they have two children, Rachel and Joseph. To relax he spends time with family and friends and until recently was a perennially hopeful season ticket holder at Crystal Palace FC.
